I adore neutrals with black & woody brown accents.

There is something so timeless and classic, loaded with relaxed simplicity.

This time of year as we begin to see the summer days grow shorter, we enter the uncertain transitional time between the cooler pumpkin spice filled days of autumn and the warm late sunlit days of summer. Maybe it’s easier to say the period where I’ve had it with the heats and I want a pumpkin already. Thanks.

And true to form, I am bored with the scene in the house. It’s been, what I call “ordinary time” since the last of the annuals hit the garden in June.

So to celebrate this year as I rolled out the Summer Launch of Living Beautifully on Facebook, (if you missed joining the group click here) I decided to give away a few fabulous prizes to the community.

A lucky winner received a table full of transitional summer/fall beauty. Nothing can be more enjoyable than gathering beautiful elements for a gift. It filled me with happiness that I could send one of my LB community members a special surprise.

Ideally, this table setting will hang-around through fall with a switch of centerpieces. For example, August through the end of September a simple green plant would be just great. Then when October hits (or if you’re like me, September 1) switch to a bowl of gourds or other squash.
